My daughter is raising show pigs for our fair at the end of March.  Her pig has had a red eye with green discharge for about a month now.  We have changed the brand of shaving 2 times and are about to go for a third.  We gave her penacilin for 3 days and that didn't work.  We have given her draxin which they said would for sure cure the problem but hasn't.  We also have put over the counter eye drops in her eye for a week and still there.  She was running a fever but when we gave her penacilin the fever went away but red eye has not.  Please help if you have had this problem before.  Thanks

Have had this problem before. might try drenching the eye itself with penecillin rather than give an injection.

A milky fluid in your guinea pig's eye after grooming is perfectly normal and nothing to worry about Check your guinea pigs eyes, they should be open, bright, clear with no discharge. However, if you see a milky type liquid, that is normal
