Hello all, I live in Cleveland ,Texas and just getting started in raising hogs for 4-h. I know that this question is going to be allot of opinions and all but I want to be able to get my daughter and son the best that I can. The other kids in our area our buying Rash pigs and Duellm pigs. I just don't think that all the hogs should come from the same area , don't get me wrong they both have real nice winning pigs. If yall could help would appreciate it and if have to will make a road trip to pick them up need 2 to 4 pigs.
thanks for the help the best advertisement is when my kids win the local and county fair so yall send pms or just tell me here

 Hey there welcome to the pig world. I have a sow that is going to farrow in a few days that won reserve in the breeding show at Cleveland in 06'. I think she also took third or second in market class it was my niece that showed. The sire is out of gator man.  My brother-in-law sells show pigs in Oklahoma, I know that he had the Reserve Grand at a County show and we showed one of his Duroc Barrows and won a Class at the Oklahoma Youth Expo and made the premium sale at the Oklahoma Youth Expo(world's largest youth livestock show). I bought pigs for several years from Russ Baize in Texas. We had Grand here in Ca with one we got from him. You should talk to him, he's really knowledgable and helpful.
