I showed lambs when I was younger (about 15 years ago) and now my son wants to show. We did it last year just to get our feet wet, but now he wants to do more. We are in WI and there aren't many places that I know of that sell club lambs and all of the local guys already seem to have slim pickings because they have their regular customers. Last year we spent $125 on each lamb. This year we are looking for a little better lambs not more than $250 each - any ideas in WI or northern IL or IA?
Can't believe he wants to do what I used to love doing - makes me feel VERY old...
Thanks for any help you can give me. OH yeah - our county fair is Labor Day weekend and last years winner was 142 lbs. Tell me how many lbs. they'll gain between now and then and is that the right target weight?
