So I am showing a lamb for the first time this year :)! I have no clue what I'm doing atall though. Our fiar is in the end of july. So when do I purchase the lamb and what do I look for? I have heard that you have to jog them a mile everyday aswell. Is that true?

Thanks,

When selecting a lamb you want to look at loin length and width.  It is best to look at lambs that are still nursing cause that is the best they look before you get them.  Usually you will get them any where from 8 to 10 months before show.  We do run our lambs this helps produce the muscle and gives them the stamina to be able to be pushed.
