This will be my daughters first year in 4-H  she is wanting to show market lambs I am  a cattle person so this is going to be all new to me. I was wandering where there might be some good sales in the Missouri, Iowa, Kansas or Okhaloma area's.

Was also wandering what will the better lambs bring in some of these sales. Thanks for any information.

Lance there will be some great sales in Iowa the weekend of April 15th.  The ICLA sale will be in Colfax, there are sales in Cedar Rapids and Iowa City as well.  Good breeders and great sheep and all prices.

There will be a sale in Oswego, KS - April 2nd at 2pm and one in Fort Scott, KS - April 9 at 2pm.  Lambs sold here have been contendars at the State Level and won many counties, prices will range from $200 - $800 with many around the $300 range.

Depending on your show entry dates you can get some real bargans on wethers at the Mid-West Stud ram sale in MO it is in June. many real good quality weters will go for floor price with I think is 150 or dont sale I belive the most a wether has went for in 1250. You can also get son good ewes there to just have to wait for you chance they have known to get sky high there. And it is real fun to see how high the Rams will sell for.:D A good thing about a wether from Sedalia is it is alredy half grown you can tell more about what they are going to look like down the road. I have had great sucsess with the ones I have picked up there.
