I have a goat that started bloating and I can't get him to stop.  One day he is almost normal and the next he looks like he about to have twins.  He also consumes alot of water and urinates all the time.  He drand over 2 gallons of water last night and urinated all of it out.  I have no idea what to do with this goat.  I bought him as a show goat but if he keeps bloating there is no way I can get him ready to show.  Does anyone have any ideas or any suggestions?

i have shown for 6years.

i have the same problem with one of mine. I just wormed the whole group hoping that was the problem. but no luck...

i just changed feeds to from a sale prep to a showgoat hoping it was the higher fat level in the sale prep....

my hunch is we were sold bottle babies and they were given too much starting out and have really stretched out stomachs.

test them by withdrawing water and see if you can control his tum.

some are prone to be water hogs. They still can show but will require you monitering the water intake. We have experienced this as well, two or three days prior to show you will need to pull water and drench until and through the show.
